The Elmore School is Vermont’s last one-room schoolhouse and offers a unique, high-quality learning experience for up to 19 students in grades 1, 2 and 3. The Elmore School recognizes that each child is an individual, that all children are creative, and that all children need to succeed. Our staff supports and respects the individual needs of our students, fosters a caring and creative environment, and emphasizes the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of each student.
The Elmore School is enriched through the generous support of the Elmore community in many ways, from use of the Town Hall, to annual visits to the Elmore Fire Station, and beyond to many individual contributions of time and talent in support of our students. The Elmore School collaborates with the Morristown Elementary School and is also supported by the larger LSUU community.
Striving for excellence, through diverse and comprehensive programs designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning, we provide a stimulating and supportive environment that challenges all students to be respectful and responsible world citizens.
