Dear PAML Families,
I would like to thank everyone who participated in our family conferences last week. One of the benefits of our Meet The Teacher system that we use to schedule our meetings is that we are able to collect participation data. I’m proud to report that we had the best participation in these meetings that we’ve had in several years. Thank you so much to all of our families for rearranging their schedules to participate. I would also like to thank our teachers who have been very flexible and accommodating in order to make these meetings work for as many people as possible. We are always looking for ways to improve the conference experience. Please take a moment to give us some feedback using the form below:
We are using our mass Email software to make sure that everyone gets this week’s edition of News and Announcements. We wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of some information for spring athletics that we’ve included as well as the looming change to our morning food service schedule. If you are not subscribed to our Weekly News and Announcements already please subscribe here.
Thank you for your continued support
Sincerely,
Matt Young Principal

Morning Breakfast Schedule Adjustment
We are working with our friends on the High School side of the building to address a lot of traffic in our halls when students should otherwise be in their classrooms.
One factor that is contributing to the problem of extra hall traffic is students going to our cafeteria to get food and then arriving late to class with their ‘breakfast’. We are very fortunate to be able to provide food to all our students and our cafeteria has been extremely accommodating to students. However, we are NO LONGER providing food once the school day begins at 7:55. This means that the cafeteria will be CLOSED for food from 7:55-11:00. Students can get breakfast from 7:30-7:55. We need the support of our families to help students arrive before 7:55 if they need and want food from the cafeteria. Alternatively, please help make sure your student has breakfast before they arrive.
We know there are extenuating circumstances that lead to students arriving late to school. We can be flexible and accommodating for such circumstances. We anticipate this change going into effect on Wednesday 3/29
2023-2024 School Calendar
Below is a link to our 2023-2024 School Calendar. Next year’s calendar does have different elements than we’ve had in the past few years. Please check it out.
Spring Athletic Season
During the Spring season we’ll be offering boys baseball (7-8), girls softball (7-8), and track (6-8). Please be on the lookout for information on those opportunities. If you’d like more information on how to sign-up please contact our office or reach to Gabi Silva gabriela.silva@lsuu.org.
We are looking for some coaches to support our track team this season. We have been approved for up to 3 coaches (dependent on numbers) to lead our team. These positions are paid coaching positions. The season runs from 4/10-5/26. Practices are typically right after school until 4:30. However, we can make reasonable accommodations for conflicting work schedules etc. If you are interested in supporting our program by coaching please contact Gabi Silva gabriela.silva@lsuu.org
