Fun times with “Buddies”. Older grades are paired up with younger grades for the year and have many Friday mornings throughout the year where they get together to read, play games, and create art projects together. This is another favorite MES tradition that has returned after a long hiatus due to Covid restrictions.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

What a fantastic night we had last Friday with our first Community Dinner since February 2020, the Band Concert, and the 4th grade Literacy demonstration.  Several parents commented on how wonderful it was to have these social gatherings again at the school. We have an amazing 4th grade band this year, the largest ever (pictured below), and here’s the link to the videos of our 4th graders explaining one part of their literacy instruction: Literacy demonstration

Next Tuesday, Feb. 7th, is our 100th Day of school!  Students are invited to be creative and bring in their 100th Day project or collection of 100 somethings to share.

We need your trash! We will be doing a school-wide recycling art project this spring with Sarah Lillibridge from LRSWMD. Send in your bottle caps, plastic and metal, all colors, shapes and sizes.  Also, we need lots of old newspapers for our March STEAM Community Dinner engineering challenges. Drop off your newspapers in the office.
