Dear PAML Families,
I am so thrilled to share that we had an absolutely wonderful experience with all of our activities outside of the building today. Thank you so much for all of your help making sure your students had what they needed to participate. The activities today promoted connections between students and adults outside of typical grade level configurations. We are going to take a breath this evening and then convene a group on Friday to identify any changes or adjustments that are necessary for our next activity day on Thursday 1/26. If you have any feedback for us please don’t hesitate to share with your student’s TA teacher or the office.
This week we began our winter STAR testing in earnest. Our STAR benchmark testing is an important part of our MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support). The winter STAR administration in particular helps us to see growth that has been achieved due to adjustments in instruction through the fall. We’re excited to see all of the growth our students have made.
Thank you so much for supporting our professional development day for teachers this upcoming Monday. We have come a long way in our re-design of our proficiency based learning system during these days. This Monday our teachers will continue work of creating learning scales aligned to each of the priority standards identified as part of their curriculum. We also have another round of learning with regional expert Joelle Van Lent, who has been working with us on practical strategies to help students progress in their social-emotional development. Math teachers will continue their learning with Math Menu and the All Learners Network.
Thank you for your continued support.
