Congratulations to Lisa Leopold, the MES 3rd & 4th graders, and the PAML Chorus for an amazing performance at Saturday’s Rocktoberfest.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As I walk around the building and visit classrooms, it is hard to believe we’ve only had 18 days of school.  I’ve seen students engaged in critical thinking math games, working diligently on silent reading stamina, writing stories, and having amazing focus and perseverance during their fall assessments. I’m hearing success stories all over the school of how proud the teachers are of their students, and how proud the students are of themselves. And to reward the students for following our school expectations in every classroom, we have filled our Wolf Pup Challenge board and earned our first school-wide reward and MES School Spirit Day: Creative Hair Day – This Friday, 9/30/22

The students and teachers are eager to show off all the amazing student work, so please bring the family to our Open House this week, and don’t forget to visit the gym where our community partners and family support groups will have many tables set up with give-aways and valuable information. Open House – Thursday, 9/29/22 – 5:30-6:30

Parent Teachers Conferences are coming up on Monday, Oct. 10th.  Please use the Meet the Teacher app to sign up. It’s always a good idea to bring your child to their teacher conference.  After all, you will be discussing your, the teacher’s, and the student’s Hopes and Dreams and goals for the year.  It’s always more meaningful when the student can have a voice in their own goal setting.  Call Kris or Kayla in the office if you need assistance with making an appointment.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming! It will open on Monday during conferences from 8:30-4 and additional hours all week. Visit to see all the times and info. Classes will have a chance to visit it. We’re looking for volunteers to help set up on 10/7 and then run it 10/10-10/14. Wednesday, October 12 it will be open til 6. Volunteer paperwork takes 10-14 days to process. Our office has the necessary paperwork and the list of already cleared volunteers.  Let our Librarian Liv Perry ( know if you want to help. Thank you!

Last Friday we celebrated our Summer Readers who had sent their postcards to Ms. Torrey about the books they had read.  Each child had an ice cream sundae, received a certificate,  and got to choose 2 new books and some bookmarks.
