Dear Parents and Guardians,
Have you seen the weather forecast for this week?! Sunny every day and climbing temps to 86 degrees by Friday. Teachers will be taking advantage of outdoor learning and extra recess opportunities. Think about applying sunscreen in the morning (or sending it in a backpack if the child can apply it themselves) and packing a hat if your child is sun sensitive.
For all Parents and Community (but especially for the 4th grade parents): Our presentation of the 4th grade musical, The Lion King, will be 2:00 this Friday, May 13th in the MES gym, followed by a little cast party for the 4th graders. Parents and community are invited to attend the performance – masks are optional. Then at 3:00 dismissal, all 4th graders and their parents are invited to walk over to PAML for the 5th grade Open House.
Matt Young’s invitation to PAML 5th Grade Open House: My name is Matt Young. I am the Principal at Peoples Academy Middle Level. I am so excited to invite all of our rising 5th grade students and families to begin their transition to Middle School at 3:00 on Friday May 13th in the PAML cafeteria. Please use the front entrance when you arrive. Our office staff will direct everyone to the cafeteria. This event will be casual and informal. You will meet some important people in a PAML 5th grader’s life, learn some things about our school, and go on a very short tour. We will wrap up no later than 4:00. Please get in touch with the PAML office with any questions. We are looking forward to meeting everyone.
Parent Informational Night: On May 5th, I hosted a parent night for the purpose of explaining how our Federal Title 1 grant funds are used and to elicit parent suggestions for school improvements and increased family engagement. We received some exciting ideas from parents who attended. Look through the slides and send your feedback or ideas to me.
