Dear PAML Families,

This will be my last family update before we head out for Thanksgiving break.  Thanksgiving break is a really important milestone in schools.  It is the first multi-day break of the year and is a great opportunity to reflect on how things are going so far.  We have so much to be thankful for here at PAML.  I am so proud of our whole community for doing their part to keep COVID related disruptions to a minimum in our building.  I am also proud of our students for their brave transition back to full in-person learning this fall.  The transition back to a full schedule hasn’t been without its challenges for students but they have met this moment, and are making great progress in their learning.

Our educators are working so hard to design meaningful experiences for students every day as well as meeting their emotional and developmental needs while they are here at school.  The work this year is challenging in ways we haven’t felt before and the folks that work here are giving everything they have to support the growth of our students.   I hope you’ll join me in wishing every staff member in our building a well deserved and restful Thanksgiving break.

Finally, We have a lot to look forward to as we return from our break.  This week we began tryouts for a future PAML musical.  This is something we haven’t done since the winter of 2020.  We are also gearing up for a full winter athletic season.  Please see the registration information below.

Have a great Thanksgiving Break and thank you for your continued support.

Winter Sports are right around the corner!  PAML Basketball (grades 7-8) will begin on 11/29, PAML Nordic Skiing (grades 6-8) will begin on 12/6.. Parents/guardians will need to fill out the “[LSUU] Athletics Signup – Parents” form on the PowerSchool parent portal in order for their child to participate.  You only need to fill this form out once per year, but it would be a good idea to ensure their latest Well Exam/Sports Physical is up to date on there as well.  For more information on how to sign up your child, go to
