Dear PAML Families,
Thank you for supporting our ½ day of professional learning today. While our PA High School colleagues are completing their grading for Quarter 3, here at the middle level we are taking time to update our Philosophy on Student Behavior and our Scholarly Habits Learning Scales. Specifically, we’ll be using tools to critically analyze these documents with a lens on racial equity. We plan to have updated versions of these important documents ready to go for the 2021-2022 school year.
This week I have repeated or updated a lot of the information in the slideshow from last week. I’ve added a new photo of our 7th grade maple sugaring project as we have now entered the boiling phase. Excitement around maple sugaring remains high! I’ve also included some images from a recent anti-smoking/anti-vaping porter campaign sponsored Healthy Lamoille Valley. Our Student Assistance Counselor Margo Warden did a great job designing and implementing this experience for our students.
I received a few questions in our form this week and I’ve answered them in the slideshow. Receiving questions in the form is such a helpful way for me to more deeply understand the information needs of our families. Please keep the questions coming! We understand that everyone is eager to hear when we might be able to increase in-person days for 7th and 8th graders. We are still awaiting updated guidance form the Agency of Education in this regard. We will keep everyone updated as new information becomes available.
Our operations here at PAML continue to move along safely and smoothly. Thank you for your continued support in helping make this school year a success.
