Dear MES Families,

Thank you parents for participating in our Parent/Teacher conferences last week.  Once again, even in our virtual world, we had very strong participation. If you missed it please contact your child’s teacher as I’m sure they could arrange a meeting with you.  The 2nd Trimester Mastery Reports should be mailed home today.  Be sure to read it over with your child and celebrate all their progress.  As always, if you need help understanding the Mastery Report or have questions, please call or email your child’s teacher.

This Friday, April 2, is an early release day.  Children will have lunch and dismissed at noon.

Mark your Calendars: Thursday, April 8, Family Virtual Math Game Night, 6:30-7:00pm  Join us at  All students will bring home a bag of math games, materials, and their devices, so you can join us at 6:30pm in our Google Meet, see how the games are played, and try them with us.

The LSUU Board of Directors and Administration are again asking for your feedback.  We are seeking to better understand what families and students need, and want your feedback to establish more two-way channels for communication.  Please complete the survey, LSUU Family Survey – Spring, 2021, by Friday, April 2.

Will your child be turning 3 or 4 by Sept. 1, 2021?  The LSUU Pre-Kindergarten Program is now enrolling children for the 2021-2022 school year. We are a 5 Star program and offer 10 hours of preschool per week. To find out more information or register your child please call Amanda Rivard at (802)888-6707 ext. 1, or email her at

Is your child going to be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2021?  Please call MES, 888-3101, to register your child for our Kindergarten screening.  Our team of Kindergarten teachers, special educators, school psychologist, and school counselor will be doing an in-person screening in June so we can get to know your child through play-based centers and activities, and the children get to see their Kindergarten classroom. Call Kris at school for more information.

Get your vaccinations:  Click here to sign up for your vaccination appointment. Currently, anyone age 50 and older can schedule a vaccination.  Please consider making an appointment when eligible.

USDA Farmers to Families food boxes will continue to be available at daily food distributions throughout the state through April. There are no upcoming dates scheduled in our area, but there are several in neighboring communities. Click here to see locations and register.
