Dear LSUU Families,
This afternoon, we learned that several Peoples Academy students have tested positive for COVID-19 and/or are symptomatic. We have been working quickly to begin contact tracing and have communicated with all students who should quarantine. We ask that the family members of students who may have been close contacts or are symptomatic also stay home from all school activities.
If you have not received an email regarding quarantine, your student is not impacted and no specific actions are needed at this time. As always, if anyone in your household is symptomatic or you have any questions about possible COVID-19, testing is recommended. You may also contact your primary care provider or Jordan Myerson, Director of Nursing Services, at 802-585-4087.
PA and all schools other than SHS are operating normally tomorrow, Tuesday, March 23. We will continue to monitor developments closely and provide updates as needed.
As we always do, we ask you to extend care and support to everyone affected by COVID-19 at this time. It is essential that we support each other and create an environment where all feel safe sharing information to help us track and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We also ask that all double down on adherence to health and safety guidelines. We have done it before and can do it again; with positivity and persistence, we can prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our schools once again!
