Dear PAML Families,
As one of our longest breaks of the year approaches I would like to invite everyone to take stock of our success up until this point. We have now been conducting in-person learning for nearly 7-months. We have done so safely and relatively uninterrupted. We are currently hosting indoor athletic teams, and barring any interruptions to our plans we will hold our first inter-school basketball games with Stowe Middle School following break. I can recall a point during the summer of 2020 when very few people considered any of these things possibilities. We have been able to remain open for in-person instruction through the cooperation and caution exercised by our school community throughout this year. Thank you all so much!
Please use our upcoming break as a time to relax, rejuvenate, and energize for the final third of our school year. Please help us ensure uninterrupted student in-person days by continuing to follow our state and local guidelines regarding the Coronavirus. As a reminder, we are still under state of emergency and gathering socially with others outside of your household is still prohibited. If you do travel out of state please be sure to follow all necessary guidelines for quarantine. By following the “rules” we keep our school community safe and ensure continued in-person learning. Please note that the first day we return from break is a remote Wednesday. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on screen on March 3rd.
In the slideshow this week I’m sharing some detailed information in regards to COVID-19 safety. As I said above it is critical that we do everything we can to keep COVID-19 transmission from impacting in-person learning opportunities. I’ve also included a slide inviting input from our community into the superintendent search process as well as the link to the full version of our PAML talent show.
I didn’t receive any new questions in our submission form this week. Please continue to use the form to submit any questions that come up throughout this school year.
Thank you for your continued support.
