Dear PAML Families,
I am happy to report that our return from Thanksgiving break has gone quite smoothly. Our conversations with families in advance of and following the break lead us to believe that our community did a fabulous job adhering to the governor’s regulations by avoiding multi-household gatherings. In a recent radio interview with a school official from our region I heard the person talk about values of trust and honesty that will get us through this pandemic. I am so grateful to lead a building in a community that shares these values.
As we have all along we remain committed to providing a safe in-person learning environment for students for as long as it remains reasonable to do so. Please help us continue to stay open for in-person instruction by vigilantly following the Governor and the Department of Health’s guidance by continuing to avoid multi-household gatherings. The following piece of guidance remains in place.
- The Agency of Education (AOE) announced recently that beginning Monday, November 30, 2020, school screening questionnaires will need to include the following question: “In the past 10 days have you or any member of your household attended a multi-household social gathering either indoors or outdoors?” New guidelines state that anyone who answers yes, along with all members of their household, will be excluded from school and asked to quarantine for 14 days or after 7 days and a negative result on a PCR test.
This week in the slideshow I have shared some information from our Mastery Reports that will be out this week. I have also included some information about our remote day on 12/23 as well as some examples of the fantastic instruction taking place in our school. I did not receive any questions in the form this week. Please make sure to continue to use the form if you have questions or comments for the good of our community.
Thank you for your continued support!
