A Message From Superintendent Tracy Wrend
An individual who has regular contact with others at all Stowe schools received a positive COVID-19 test result this evening. As a result, Stowe Elementary School, Stowe Middle School and Stowe High School are closed for in-person instruction on Friday, December 4, 2020. Specific communications from your student’s school regarding remote learning for Friday, December 4, will follow.
We are assessing the situation and will begin contact tracing shortly. We will provide additional updates and information on Friday. We will reach out directly to individuals who may be advised to quarantine or follow up with their healthcare provider. We will also provide additional information regarding school operations for subsequent days.
Once again, we’d like to remind everyone to be diligent about health and safety precautions, including wearing a mask, physical distancing, staying home when feeling sick, handwashing and avoiding social gatherings with individuals outside your household.
We also ask that all extend care and support to the individuals directly impacted by COVID-19. This is a stressful and uncertain time. But when we come together as a community we are at our best. We will overcome this challenge.
